Albany Office Supplies Limited was founded in 1979. The company began business in small premises in Stoneybatter in Dublin and in the following years, the company has grown to become one of the leading office supplies and print companies in Ireland.

Since its foundation, by John Power, the company has set itself many goals, to always deliver a high level of service, a strong commitment to quality and to develop firm relationships with our customers that would last.

Further evidence of the company’s commitment to service and quality is the large number of customers that have a long term relationship with Albany, some for more than 25 years.

We occupy a 24,000 sq ft unit; 5,000 sq ft are used as our administration office based in Dublin 12. The remaining 19,000 sq ft houses our commercial print department, along with the print finishing department, furniture and office stationery stores and our goods inward and dispatch department.

The Albany group is made up of 3 branches situated in Dublin, Cookstown and Maydown.

In house print department - with state of the art in house print facilities and full digital processing, we would be delighted to quote for design, development or reproduction of any document you require with standards that will not be compromised.

Managed print services (MPS) – We will manage your printers, maintenance and consumable requirements.

Our furniture and fit out team will assess your individual requirements and if necessary produce CAD drawings where appropriate. Our furniture range covers contract to executive furniture and seating from a range of approved manufacturers to suit all budgets.

Computer consumables - including toner retrieval system, are available with original branded and alternative products to suit your budget.

Albany Environmental Policy

The following plan is currently in action at Albany Supplies Ltd:

Colour coded bins

We have installed colour coded bins throughout our company in order to separate all generated waste.

Collections

Collections have been reduced to one black bag collection per week and a daily green bin collection when necessary. All other bins are collected on a telephone order basis.

Baling Station

Due to the volume of cardboard packaging generated we have installed a small baling unit in the waste area of our warehouse. Baling our cardboard will significantly reduce the amount of loose cardboard taking up valuable space and is much easier to manage.

Staff Training

To ensure that the waste program is implemented in full, we have trained staff in all areas covering our waste management plan. Two of our operators have been fully trained in all aspects relating to the baling station including health and safety training.

As a supplier of office stationery and workplace products across Ireland, we recognise our role in reducing environmental impacts across our operations, supply chain, and customer engagement.

We are dedicated to continual environmental improvement and compliance with all applicable Irish and EU environmental legislation. Our commitment is to comply fully with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.

Albany is aiming to reduce waste generation and improve waste management across packaging, paper, toner cartridges, and electronics in line with circular economy principles. Promote efficient use of resources, including energy, fuel, and water. Encourage sustainable procurement by sourcing eco-labelled, recycled, or low-carbon products where possible. Engage with suppliers to improve environmental performance across the value chain. Integrate sustainability into our logistics by optimising delivery routes and evaluating options for low-emissions transport. Raise awareness and train staff on environmental responsibilities, including sustainable product choices and office practices.

Continue our customer recycling programme for toner and IT consumables.

Support low-carbon commuting and transport by providing on-site EV charging facilities for staff and customers at our Dublin headquarters and we will be adding more charging points at our Dublin branch.
